Membership Quarterly Meeting – April 25, 2008
Present were Melanie

Myra & Gerald Hartley, Joyce Helkenn, Paul Streff,
Beth Hollatz,
Marie & Merlyn Ritter, Sandy Luke, Karla Clausen, & Jeanette Warkenthien.
The Secretary and Financial reports
were approved.
Tom LaBrie asked that we recognize Melanie Smith
for all her work on the Web Site.

Gruenwald gave a presentation on the Variety Store:
The corporation was
finalized on April 24, 2008/
Clark Hometown Variety LLC
There are shares at $500 each. No person can own
more than 3% of the shares and each person has one vote.
The grant for the building has been filed and we
are waiting on the result. The Prospectus will be finished in about
a week.
Tom LaBrie gave a presentation on the Clark
Community Foundation.
Money put into this
foundation flows thru to the State Foundation and we get 5% on our
money back each year to be used for Community projects, scholarships
etc. There are several money matches that will kick in as the fund
reaches several levels.

Clark Area Chamber of Commerce General Membership
Meeting
Present were Beth Hollatz, Zoom Neil, Joey
Latunski, Sandy Luke, Melanie Smith, Shannon Schlagel, Sandy Bell,
Ken Bell Jr., Margaret Grimes, Myra Hartley, Tom LaBrie, Greg
Furness, Carla Clausen, Jeanette Warkenthien & Bill Krikac.
Minutes of the last General Membership Meeting
were read and approved on a motion by Greg Furness, second by Tom
LaBrie.
The Balance Sheet and Profit/Loss for 2007 were
given to those present. The Spooktacular income and expense was
discussed in some detail. The jail was a good money maker and Greg
Furness stated that the Historical Society would donate the use of
the jail again for next year’s event.
On a motion by Tom LaBrie, second by Shannon
Schlagel the following rule change was made to the Chamber Bylaws.
The General Membership Meeting will be held
quarterly on the 3rd Thursday of January, April, July &
October
Discussion followed about ways to increase
participation. One idea was to have the meeting in the evening and
maybe get a speaker for some meetings.
The Christmas Punch Card Promotion was discussed
with several ideas put forth for next year’s event.
The Chamber Sponsored 5th and 6th
grade boys BB Tournament will be Saturday February 2, 2008. Programs
will be printed with all the Chamber Members listed.
Election for Board Members was held. Nominees were
Sandy Luke, Shannon Schlagel, Melanie Smith & Eric Stevens for the
two available seats.
Melanie Smith and Eric Stevens were elected for
three year terms on the Board.
The remaining Board Members are Beth Hollatz, Greg
Furness, Zoom Neil, Clay Yeoman & Jerry Hartley.

have any questions or thoughts about our community.
Membership Letters and Forms for 2008 were given
to those present and will be mailed to the current and prospective
members shortly.
Lunch was served by the Chamber Board.
The next General Membership Meeting will be April
17, 2008.

Clark Chamber General Meeting
The monthly meeting of the Clark Area Chamber of Commerce was held
Thursday, Oct 18, 2007 at noon at the Playhouse Restaurant.
Present were Zoom Neil, Beth Hollatz, Sandy Luke, Greg Furness, Bill
Krikac, Nan Bell, Kenny Bell and Jeanette Warkenthien.
Meeting called to order by Beth Hollatz. Secretary and Treasurer
report given.
Reports were given on the progression of Spooktacular planning. The
Flyers have been printed and are being distributed. Building has
started on the Spook House.
Girls 5-6 BB Tournament was set for December 15, 2007 and Boys 5-6
Bb Tournament set for February 2, 2008.
Discussion followed about this years Christmas promotion. Motion by
Sandy Luke and a second by Dan Bell to use a punch card promotion
this year. This card will be punched with each purchase at Chamber
Businesses and filled cards go into a drawing for prizes. Discussion
followed about having a Tour of Holmes again this year and this will
be looked into further.
