Designed for the adult, nontraditional learner, most classes at the Watertown campus meet once weekly, primarily in the evening but with some daytime offerings. Students may attend either part time or full time, choosing from more than 70 courses each semester. Financial aid is available for eligible degree-seeking students. Bachelor degrees are available in accounting, business, elementary education, liberal arts and selected studies. Associate degrees include business, general studies and criminal justice.

Helping businesses find their niche in the international marketplace is a specialty of Northern State University, where students learn about everything from international management to international marketing. All NSU students are required to do an internship, which gives business people an opportunity for hiring interns. Northern State also has outstanding business and computer programs.
